Why Rope Access?

  • Often quicker and more cost effective than scaffolding

  • Very safe when employed by certified technicians

  • Small footprint (we don’t need a lot of space and heavy equipment)

  • Low impact (existing structure can usually be used for rigging and our gear is gone when we are; no trace left)

Rope access is a method used to access difficult to reach locations at height with a system of ropes and hardware. Using a two rope system, technicians use methods similar to rock climbers that allow them to rig to appropriate anchors and rappel or climb to work locations.

This access is safe when conducted by experienced technicians, with one rope supporting the technician and the second rope used for back-up fall protection.

Having rope access as part of your toolkit means you have a cost effective way to perform work in hard to reach places. This method is a versatile option that provides safe and quick access to locations that would otherwise need to be scaffolded or in many cases neglected.
